LSEG Lipper Fund Awards 2024: in Austria and France as well, Epsilon Fund – Euro Bond wins award as “Best Bond EMU Government Fund” in the 5-year category
After having won the award as Best Bond EMU Government Fund in the 5-year category at the LSEG Lipper Fund Awards 2024 Switzerland, Epsilon Fund – Euro Bond received the same award in Austria as well, coming out on top among 38 funds, and in France, ranking first out of 27 funds.
The Luxembourg fund, operated by Eurizon Capital SGR, has been active for over 15 years and, with total assets of over 7 billion euros*, is one of the largest in Europe in terms of assets under management (Morningstar Euro Government Bond category). In recent years, the euro government bond management strategy implemented has consistently outperformed the benchmark (JPM Emu Government Bond Index).
Ever since its inception, the Fund has been managed by the same team, led by Paolo Bernardelli, Eurizon’s Head of Fixed Income & FX, who can boast over 25 years of experience.
The Refinitiv Lipper Fund Awards were given to funds marketed in the indicated geographical region or country, and that had a historical performance record of at least 36 months as at 31 December 2023.
Within each classification sector (which differs by asset class), the winners are established based on the Lipper Leaders Rating for Consistent Return, using the Effective Return criterion, a measure of risk-adjusted return over several time periods (daily, weekly, monthly and/or annual). The period calculated extends over three, five, or 10 years.
