Eurizon launches its first active ETF
EURIZON LAUNCHES ITS FIRST ACTIVE ETF FOLLOWING ITS SUCCESS IN PASSIVE ETFS
Milan, April 27th 2026 – Following the successful launch of its passive ETF fund platform in May 2025, with the first 10 equity funds in the YourIndex SICAV range, Eurizon Capital SGR has progressively expanded its offering to include bond funds, designed to meet investors' asset allocation needs and reinforcing its strong focus on product innovation.
Today, the platform includes 33 sub-funds (16 equity and 17 bond), managing over €19 billion in assets as of April 2026. Their strategies cover all geographic areas and asset classes, with a focus on ESG themes. Investors can choose between traditional (institutional) and listed (UCITS ETF) share classes, benefitting from competitive pricing, a dedicated management team with extensive experience in indexed products, and a supporting capital markets structure.
Eurizon is the only company in Italy to manage all ETF activities in an integrated manner, from portfolio management to capital markets, ensuring full control and efficiency of operational, management, and market access processes. The company is among Europe’s leading players with its YIS (YourIndex SICAV) multi-share class platform, widely appreciated by Italian and international investors for its breadth, transparency, and efficiency.
In 2025, the European ETF market exceeded $3 trillion in assets under management and recorded $390 billion in inflows, with 621 new ETFs launched (compared with 317 in 2023), confirming a significant acceleration in product innovation. While passive strategies remain predominant in absolute terms, growth has been largely driven by active strategies: active ETF launches rose from 32 to 167 in two years, increasing their share of total new issuance from 10% to 27%.
In response to the evolution of the active ETF market, Eurizon launched the YourActive SICAV platform in March, dedicated to active ETFs. The first ETF is YAS Robotics Active, which actively invests in companies developing innovative products and services in robotics and automation.
"Product innovation is a key success factor in the asset management industry” – said Maria Luisa Gota, CEO and General Manager of Eurizon – “For Eurizon, it is strategic to compete with both its passive and active ETFs, which are increasingly used by institutional and private clients. ETFs are simple and cost-effective instruments that, when offered to retail clients, must be complemented by advisory services that identify investment solutions aligned with their needs. Passive and active ETFs complement traditional funds and can be combined within diversified portfolios to efficiently create value through targeted asset allocation."
