Eurizon stood out by receiving awards in two categories:
- “Best Italian Fund Manager - ‘Big’ Group” Category Best Fund Manager – 2nd position
- “Best Bond Balanced Fund” Category Eurizon AM SICAV - Social 4 Planet - U – Winner
The awards are assigned based on solid analysis criteria, that take into account the trend of capitals over a three-year time horizon, and rely on the views provided by CFS Rating. In assigning the Best Italian Fund Manager – “Big” Group award, 12 macro-categories were considered:
- America Stocks
- Europe Stocks
- Euro Stocks
- Asia-Pacific Stocks
- Emerging Stocks
- International Stocks
- Balanced
- Flexible
- America Bonds
- Euro Bonds
- Emerging Bonds
- International Bonds
The AM companies were then considered with assets under management in open funds in excess of 6,000 million euros (Assogestioni data as at 3Q 2021), with one or more funds in at least 6 of the 12 macro-categories mentioned above.
Once the group of companies was identified, the following steps were taken:
- All the retail funds placed in Italy with a track record of at least three years were considered;
- The average rating of the different classes was calculated for each sub-fund;
- For each company, the average rating of the sub-funds included in each category was calculated;
- Subsequently, the average of all the categories was calculated for each;
- The awards went to the three companies with the highest average rating.
For what concerns the Best Bond Balanced Fund, the Italy-authorised retail fund with the best rating within the category considered (data as at 31 December 2021) was rewarded, verifying that the fund’s 3-year risk-return profile was in the 10% of its category.
